Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve been meaning to start this thread for quite a while, and I’m finally getting around to it. I’ve been reefing for about 4 years, and it’s been quite a ride — full of learning, upgrades, and plenty of coral growth (and the occasional setback 😅).
Background
I started with a small nano tank, which taught me the basics of reef keeping and gave me the confidence to scale up. Over time, I upgraded to my current system, a Red Sea Reefer 425 XL, which has been running strong for the past couple of years.
My tank is SPS-dominated, so stability and flow have always been top priorities. Recently, I decided it’s time to take things to the next level.
The Next Chapter
The new setup will be a Blau Super Reef 122, which is currently on order and should arrive in the coming weeks. I’ll try to document the entire process here — unboxing, plumbing, aquascaping, cycling etc
To prepare for the upgrade, I’ve already sold off some of my larger SPS colonies to make the move easier (and to give the new system a cleaner start).
